Believing In Yourself: Part 4

Believing in yourself requires the ability to ground yourself and to recognize when you need to ground yourself. When was the last time you didn’t know if you were coming or going? When was the last time you drove home without remembering how you got there? When was the last time you felt disconnected from yourself or others? This might appear in the form of boredom, not feeling like yourself or lack of motivation.

Think of a time when you felt like you embodied your body, a time your breath felt stable, a time when you felt like yourself. Take a moment to write a couple sentences about it.

Now take a few easy breaths

Roll your shoulders back and down

Inhale into the belly and up through all sides of the chest

Exhaling Haaawww…..

Inhale reaching the head toward the sky, exhale rooting the feet into the ground

Continue this breath for 6 rounds

Now… write down what it feels like to ground yourself

Is there a feeling of stability in your body, mind or spirit? Is there a shift in your emotions?

Sit with this a moment breathing into the belly
